Basketball Recap: Vaughn Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Vaughn won the last time they faced Fulton and things went their way on Monday too. The Vaughn White Tigers took down the Fulton Jaguars 38-22. The White Tigers pushed the score to 36-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Jaguars cut but never quite recovered from.

Vaughn's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Cisneros, who went 8 of 16 en route to 16 points and seven steals. That's the most steals Cisneros has posted since back in January of 2024. Belle Alvarez was another key player, going 5 for 9 on her way to 10 points and five steals.

Vaughn's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12. As for Fulton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vaughn has already played their next game (against East Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Fulton will host Valley Academy of Arts & Sciences at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
