Elkhorn posted their closest win since September 20, 2024 on Thursday. They won by a run and slipped past the Douglas County West Falcon 11-10. The Antlers haven't had any issues with the Falcon recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Elkhorn let Olivia Rivera and Maddie Mitchell run wild. Rivera went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles, while Mitchell went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Karlie Villwok, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.

Elkhorn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .345 or higher in four consecutive matchups.

Elkhorn now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Douglas County West, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
