Football Recap: Ravenswood Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Jakob Simmons and Owen Curtis

Ravenswood lost against Buffalo back in October of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Devils took a 27-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bison.

Ravenswood's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Owen Curtis, who rushed for 168 yards and one score while picking up 7.6 yards per carry, and Jakob Simmons, who picked up 68 receiving yards and one TD.

Even if they lost, Ravenswood's defense still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Buffalo's QB won't forget Ralphie Rhodes anytime soon given he sacked him four times.

Ravenswood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Buffalo, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ravenswood will take on Clay County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Buffalo, they will face off against Richwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Bison will be up against the Lumberjacks' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
