Football Recap: Legacy's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

While Legacy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-9), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Mountain Range Mustangs 31-6 on Wednesday. The Lightning's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Legacy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Elin Reichert, Kaylie Schaub, and Elena Perrotto picked up one apiece.

The win keeps Legacy at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.8 points on average this season. As for Mountain Range, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Legacy will welcome Aurora West College Prep Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mountain Range, they will venture away from home to square off against Overland at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Trailblazers' defense has only allowed 14.8 points per game this season, so the Mustangs' offense will have their work cut out for them.
