Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Western Christian

The Centennial Huskies and the Western Christian Fighting Lancers will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Centennial is headed into Monday's contest hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight losses. They lost 5-0 to Santa Margarita on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while the Eagles are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Western Christian kept a clean sheet against Samueli Academy on Friday. Everything went their way against the Firewolves as they made off with an 8-0 win. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Fighting Lancers considering their one-goal performance the matchup before.

Centennial's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-2. As for Western Christian, the victory got them back to even at 2-2-1.
