Softball Recap: Heavener Wins Going Away Against Spiro

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Talihina, Heavener was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Spiro Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won six matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Heavener's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Spiro, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Heavener will square off against rival Westville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Wolves 3, the Yellowjackets 3) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Spiro is set to face off against their familiar foe Henryetta at 5:30 p.m. on the 28th.
