Softball Recap: Midland Comes Up Short

Midland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 9-5 to the Springville Orioles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Orioles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 on Monday.

Midland's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Springville, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-8 record this season.

Midland will challenge Monticello at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Springville, they will take on Edgewood-Colesburg at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Orioles surely won't give up without a fight.
