Softball Recap: Riverdale Comes Up Short

Riverdale fell victim to Troup County and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 13-0. The Raiders haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Riverdale now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Troup County, their win ended a six-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8.

Looking ahead, Riverdale will head out on the road to take on Mt. Zion at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Troup County, they will welcome Spalding at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Jaguars have averaged an impressive 9.2 runs per game this season.
