Baseball Game Preview: Masterman vs. Franklin Towne Warriors

Masterman will face off against the Franklin Towne Warriors at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Masterman will be strutting in after a victory while Franklin Towne will be coming in after a loss.

Masterman proved they can win big last Wednesday (they won by 19) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Carver High School of Engineering & Science 4-2.

The team relied heavily on Daniel Carrera, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Franklin Towne came up short against Central on Friday and fell 8-3. The Warriors have struggled against the Lancers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Jaedyn Sanchez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Franklin Towne fell to 2-1. As for Masterman, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Masterman skirted past Franklin Towne 13-11 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will Masterman repeat their success, or does Franklin Towne has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
