St. Joseph won the last time they faced Stamford and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Cadets sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Black Knights. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cadets.
Michael Roman looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, HT Jones and Nate Walsh did most of the damage at the plate: Jones went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double, while Walsh went 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most RBI Jones has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Jake Rios, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 14-6. As for Stamford, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.
