Softball Recap: China Spring Triumphs

China Spring saw some tournament action on Friday. They came out on top against the MacArthur Brahmas by a score of 8-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Sophia Garcia was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Olivia Volden was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: China Spring kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

China Spring's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for MacArthur, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Looking ahead, China Spring will be playing at home against Waxahachie at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Indians have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matchups. As for MacArthur, they are on the road again on Friday to play V.R. Eaton at 11:00 a.m.
