After flying high against St. John Paul II Catholic last Saturday, Coronado came back down to earth. The Coronado Dons took a 59-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Greenway Demons on Thursday. The Dons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Greenway's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kevin Slocum led the charge by going 5 for 7 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Calderon, who posted 17 points.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Greenway, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Coronado didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-49 defeat against Shadow Mountain on the 6th. As for Greenway, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 66-33 win against Cactus on the 9th.
