Basketball Recap: Thursday's Victory Is King City's Fourth in Last Five Outings

King City won the last time they faced Pacific Collegiate, and Amity Hearne did her part to make sure it happened again. The King City Mustangs walked away with a 46-34 victory over the Pacific Collegiate Pumas on Thursday thanks in part to Hearne, who went 6 for 7 en route to 12 points along with eight boards and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Janesa Lopez, who posted nine points. She also put up a block, which washer first of the season.

King City has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season. As for Pacific Collegiate, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King City will take on Santa Catalina at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. King City is facing Santa Catalina at the right time seeing as Santa Catalina is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. Pacific Collegiate has already played their next match (against Palma), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
