Independence and Marion are an even 5-5 against one another since July of 2018, but likely not for long. The Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Wolves on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Monday, Independence came up short against Clear Creek-Amana and fell 8-3. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Clippers recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Marion's offense. They came up short against Muscatine on Monday, falling 7-0.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 10-25-1. As for Independence, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-26.

Everything went Independence's way against Marion in their previous matchup last Monday, as Independence made off with a 7-0 win. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Wolves have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
