Basketball Game Preview: Nogales Nobles vs. Montclair Cavaliers

After both having extra time off, the Nogales Nobles and the Montclair Cavaliers will dust off their jerseys to face off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Nogales is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Last Thursday, Nogales lost to Alta Loma at home by a 52-34 margin. While losing is never fun, the Nobles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 988th, while the Braves are ranked 447th).

Meanwhile, Montclair suffered their closest loss since November 22nd last Friday. They fell just short of Garey by a score of 29-26. The Cavaliers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Montclair's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Nogales, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Nogales opened the new year with a less-than-successful 49-39 defeat to Montclair. Can Nogales avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
