Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln County Red Devils vs. Washington-Wilkes Tigers

For the second straight game, Lincoln County will face off against Washington-Wilkes. The Red Devils will square off against the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lincoln County has now lost nine straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 6.

Last Tuesday, Lincoln County didn't have quite enough to beat Washington-Wilkes and fell 7-5.

For Washington-Wilkes' part, Jordan Dawson was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs Dawson has posted since back in April of 2024. Andrew Harkins was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Washington-Wilkes, they moved to 7-15 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
