Baseball Recap: Vienna Comes Up Short

Vienna was the 3-1 winner over Zeigler-Royalton when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 8-3 to the Tornadoes on Thursday.

Hayden Jones made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Vienna now has a losing record of 12-13. As for Zeigler-Royalton, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-14 record.

Coming up, Vienna will face off against DuQuoin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Zeigler-Royalton, they will welcome Johnston City at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
