Softball Recap: Westside Seminoles vs. Rutland Hurricanes

Westside extended their losing streak to nine on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-11. They came up short against the Rutland Hurricanes, falling 25-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hurricanes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 on Tuesday.

As for Rutland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-18. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

For Rutland's part, they got a massive performance out of Adrianna Kadian, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and one double. That's the most runs Kadian has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Moore, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with five stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westside will venture away from home to challenge Northeast at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Rutland, they will take on Marion County at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
