Basketball Recap: New Hope-Solebury Comes Up Short

New Hope-Solebury lost against Cheltenham back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The New Hope-Solebury Lions took a 51-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cheltenham Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 148th, while the Panthers are ranked 39th).

New Hope-Solebury's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Cheltenham, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

New Hope-Solebury will face off against Central Bucks West at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cheltenham, they will be playing at home against Springfield Township at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cheltenham is facing Springfield Township at the right time seeing as Springfield Township is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
