Soccer Game Preview: Los Lunas vs. West Mesa

The Los Lunas Tigers will challenge the West Mesa Mustangs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with seven consecutive losses for Los Lunas and three for West Mesa.

Friday just wasn't the day for Los Lunas' offense. They lost 9-0 to Albuquerque on Friday. While losing is never fun, Los Lunas can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico soccer rankings (they are ranked 65th, while Albuquerque are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, West Mesa also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Rio Grande on Thursday, falling 5-0.

West Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14-1. As for Los Lunas, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.
