Softball Recap: Manchester Takes a Loss

Manchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 17-0 to the Trion Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-1 on Saturday.

Manchester's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Trion, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manchester will take on Shaw at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Raiders have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season. As for Trion, they will square off against Model at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
