Holden came tearing into Tuesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by an 8-2 margin over the Lafayette County Huskers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Holden's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Lafayette County, they dropped their record down to 7-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Holden will venture away from home to challenge Richmond at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lafayette County, they will challenge St. Michael the Archangel at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Guardians have averaged an impressive 12.1 runs per game this season.
