Banks County came tearing into Tuesday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Athens Academy Spartans. For the Leopards, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Spartans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 29-27, 27-25.

Among those leading the charge was Annie Davis, who had 13 digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 12 matchups.

When it comes to explaining why Athens Academy lost, don't look at Riley Muir. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and two assists. Nika Zalac also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Banks County's win bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Athens Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 20-10.
