Baseball Recap: Springfield Comes Up Short

McDonald hit Springfield with a five-run seventh inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers lost 8-2 to the Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 last Thursday.

Springfield has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-10 record this season. As for McDonald, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-5.

Looking ahead, Springfield will challenge Oberlin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for McDonald, they will take on Lake Center Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
