Basketball Game Preview: Roxborough Wolves vs. Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER

The Roxborough Wolves will take on the Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Roxborough will be strutting in after a victory while Kensington will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Roxborough beat Science Leadership Academy 28-24. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 275th, while Science Leadership Academy are ranked 580th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Jaylah Holmes, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten boards. She has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 11 times she's played. Gabrielle Austin was another key player, putting up four points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Kensington's undefeated season came to an end after seven games on Friday. They took a 35-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Abraham Lincoln. The loss put an end to the KENSINGTON TIGER's undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Kensington fell to 7-1. As for Roxborough, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Roxborough barely slipped by Kensington in their previous matchup back in March of 2021, winning 45-44. Will Roxborough repeat their success, or does Kensington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
