It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Rabun County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Elbert County Blue Devils, sneaking past 5-4. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by just one run.

Rabun County's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-9. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Elbert County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-9.
