Basketball Game Preview: Ocean View Christian Patriots vs. High Tech NC Raptor

The Ocean View Christian Patriots will take on the High Tech NC Raptor at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both have allowed few points on average, (Ocean View Christian: 23.1, High Tech NC: 27.2) so any points scored will be well earned.

Ocean View Christian is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Chula Vista Learning Community Charter to the tune of 52-12 on Tuesday. With the Patriots ahead 31-6 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Montse Acosta was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 27 points and 11 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Ocean View Christian's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joy Bonura, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points and seven steals.

Meanwhile, the third road contest was the charm for High Tech NC, as they earned their first road win of the season. They strolled past Liberty Charter with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 26-12.

High Tech NC's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Ocean View Christian, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
