Banning had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the South Gate Rams on Monday, sneaking past 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Pilots: when they faced off against the Rams back in December of 2024, they had to take a 2-0 loss.

Aubrey Cervin and Marilyn Carrillo scored both of Banning's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 20 goals.

Banning is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 43 goals over those nine matches. South Gate's defeat dropped their record down to 16-4.

Looking ahead, Banning will face off against Verdugo Hills at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Verdugo Hills will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Banning surely won't give up without a fight. South Gate does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
