Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Park Lions vs. Amundsen Vikings

For the second straight game, Lincoln Park will face off against Amundsen. The Lions will be playing at home against the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Lincoln Park is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Amundsen just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-5.

For Amundsen's part, the team relied heavily on Bennett Newman, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Newman has posted since back in April of 2024. Asher Antonyzyn was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one run.

With the win, Amundsen broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-15. As for Lincoln Park, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
