Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Tamalpais). Their defense stepped up to hand the Montgomery Vikings a 4-0 shutout on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Red Tailed Hawks needed considering they were shutout in their previous contest.

Lauren Willard and Addie Covey scored all four of Tamalpais' goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Tamalpais' victory bumped their record up to 4-1-3. As for Montgomery, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-2-1.

Tamalpais will host St. Ignatius College Preparatory at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Tamalpais is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season. As for Montgomery, they are taking a road trip to take on Miramonte at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
