Football Recap: Mission Valley Has No Trouble Against Cair Paravel

Mission Valley won the last time they faced Cair Paravel and things went their way on Friday too. The Vikings strolled past the Lions with points to spare, taking the game 21-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Jake Mills had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 76 yards and one touchdown, while also throwing for 157 yards and a pair of TDs. Those 76 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Mission Valley's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cair Paravel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mission Valley will square off against Rossville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 37.8 points per game this season. As for Cair Paravel, they will challenge Wabaunsee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
