Girard Academic Music Program had to endure a six-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Strawberry Mansion Knights by a score of 28-18 on Wednesday. The Pioneers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Girard Academic Music Program can attribute much of their success to Laura Alfaro, who posted 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Giulia Dorizio, who had eight points.

Girard Academic Music Program's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Strawberry Mansion, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Girard Academic Music Program and Strawberry Mansion's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Girard Academic Music Program and First Philadelphia Prep (who has only given up 23 points per game) will meet at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Strawberry Mansion and Mariana Bracetti Academy (who has only given up 27.33 points per game) will meet at 3:15 p.m. on January 22nd.
