Softball Recap: Hagerty Huskies vs. Osceola Kowboys
Hagerty never let their opponents score on Monday. They came out on top against the Osceola Kowboys by a score of 4-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Huskies also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2025.

Bella Ortiz was a major factor no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mattingly Klein, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. She has been hot recently, having posted three or more hits the last three times she's played. Mikayla Beilenson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Hagerty kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Osceola didn't got any.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Hagerty will square off against Winter Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Huskies 2.4, the Bears 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Osceola, they will take on Seminole at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
