At the plate, Rockdale County got a massive performance out of Celeb Ellison, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those four RBI gave Ellison a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jonathan Raggs, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Grovetown ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out Newton 5-4. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
