Baseball Game Preview: Columbus International Lions vs. Whetstone Braves

Columbus International hasn't had much luck against Whetstone recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lions will face off against the Braves at 5:30 p.m. Columbus International has given up an average of 17.2 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Columbus International is headed into Monday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Thursday. They came up short against Briggs, falling 26-1.

Meanwhile, Whetstone waltzed into their game on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 15-4 win. The result was nothing new for the Braves, who have now won eight contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

Whetstone's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Columbus International, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Columbus International might still be hurting after the 14-0 defeat they got from Whetstone when the teams last played on April 2nd. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
