Baseball Recap: Mays' Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Mays's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Forest Park Panthers by a score of 8-4. The victory was some much needed relief for the Raiders as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Ronald Tucker was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-4. Mays is 2-1 when Tucker posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-9 otherwise. Jarquez Jordan was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

Mays' win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 5-10. As for Forest Park, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mays will face off against M.L. King at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Forest Park, they will challenge Mays at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
