Recap: Monache Marauders vs. Porterville Panthers
The Monache Marauders stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They breezed by Porterville at home to the tune of 74-25. The win was familiar territory for Monache who now have 12 in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Monache to victory, but perhaps none more so than Milly Rojas, who scored 23 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Alisha Verdejo, who scored 11 points along with eight assists and five steals.
Despite the defeat, Porterville saw an underclassman step up: Ryleigh Schoonover dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. Schoonover is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least nine every time she's taken the court this season.
Monache is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 27-2 record this season. As for Porterville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-11.
Monache does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Porterville also has no future games currently scheduled.
