Soccer Game Preview: Sacred Heart of Jesus vs. St. Bernard

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Comets will square off against the St. Bernard Vikings at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacred Heart of Jesus' last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Sacred Heart of Jesus is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to five goals on Thursday, they were much more limited against Pomona Catholic on Monday. They fell just short of the Pacers by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Comets haven't been shut out since back in December of 2024.

St. Bernard played against Bishop Conaty-Loretto and lost via forfeit.

Sacred Heart of Jesus' loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for St. Bernard, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Everything went Sacred Heart of Jesus' way against St. Bernard when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as Sacred Heart of Jesus made off with a 7-1 win. Will Sacred Heart of Jesus repeat their success, or does St. Bernard have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
