Softball Recap: Fossil Ridge Takes a Loss

Windsor hit Fossil Ridge with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The SaberCats lost 11-1 to the Wizards. The loss continues a trend for the SaberCats in their meetings with the Wizards: they've now lost six in a row.

Fossil Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Bullers, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Fossil Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Windsor, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Looking ahead, Fossil Ridge will head out to face off against Fort Collins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The SaberCats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lambkins have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season. As for Windsor, they have already played their next contest, a 23-4 victory against Poudre on the 26th.
