Softball Recap: Walton Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Walton had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Wheeler on Thursday. The Raiders blew past the Wildcats 14-1. That 13 run margin sets a new team best for the Raiders this season.

Walton's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Wheeler, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
