Softball Recap: Valor Christian Find Success

Valor Christian won the last time they faced Lutheran and things went their way on Thursday too. The Eagles walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Lions.

Elizabeth Canales tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 12 over six innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Abigail Watson was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base. Kendall Ferguson was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one double and one RBI.

Valor Christian now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lutheran, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1.

Looking ahead, Valor Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Broomfield at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lutheran, they will take on Columbine in a tournament on Friday.
