Football Game Preview: Dunnellon Tigers vs. North Marion Colts + Official Tickets

The Dunnellon Tigers will head out to challenge the North Marion Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. North Marion took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Dunnellon, who comes in off a win.

Dunnellon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They walked away with a 33-22 victory over Specially Fit Academy on Friday.

A big part of Dunnellon's win came down to the chemistry between Dylan Curry and his top target Iterrean Mitchell. Curry threw for 202 yards and one touchdown on only 17 passes while Mitchell gained 86 total yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance also gave Curry a new career-high in passer rating (130).

Dunnellon's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Kaiden Robinson-Vickers refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.

Meanwhile, North Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Vanguard 48-7. While losing is never fun, the Colts can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 310th, while the Knights are ranked 82nd).

North Marion's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Dunnellon, the victory was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-4.

Everything came up roses for Dunnellon against North Marion in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 42-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
