The home team had come away the winner the last six times Dominion Christian and Cherokee Christian had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Dominion Christian Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Cherokee Christian Warriors on Tuesday, sneaking past 8-6. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 8-7 last Thursday.
Jake Jackson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Canaan Bowen, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.
Dominion Christian's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-4. As for Cherokee Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Coming up, Dominion Christian will challenge Lakeview Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Cherokee Christian, they will host Lafayette Christian at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
