Softball Recap: Rifle Bears vs. Roosevelt Roughriders

After flying high against Pueblo East on Friday, Rifle came back down to earth. The Bears came up short against the Roosevelt Roughriders on Friday, falling 25-18. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (14), the Bears still had to take the loss.

Rifle got a massive performance out of Brynn Axelson, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ella Jackson, who went 4-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Rifle's defeat dropped their record down to 19-6. As for Roosevelt, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-9 record this season.
