Softball Recap: Washington Has No Trouble Against Arabia Mountain

The Washington Bulldogs made easy work of the Arabia Mountain Rams on Wednesday and carried off a 19-3 win. The game marked the Bulldogs' most dominant victory of the season.

Washington got a massive performance out of Zamiya Moore, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs. Those three runs gave Moore a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Londyn Scott, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Washington always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .815. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Washington has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Arabia Mountain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will head out to square off against Therrell at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least ten runs in their last six matches. As for Arabia Mountain, they will venture away from home to face off against Chamblee at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
