Softball Recap: Westminster Takes a Loss

The Westminster Wildcats didn't have quite enough to beat the Union Grove Wolverines on Monday and fell 4-3.

Westminster saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Olivia Velazquez, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. That double was Velazquez's first of the season.

Westminster has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season. As for Union Grove, they pushed their record up to 18-5 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

While Westminster had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
