Basketball Recap: Serra's Run of Five Straight Wins Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Serra can now relate to. They took a 59-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tesoro Titans on Saturday. The Cavaliers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Serra's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kaicia Snelson, who posted 21 points and eight boards, and Mariyah Lewis, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Lewis a new career-high in blocks (three). Another player making a difference was Jadah Foster, who put up five points in addition to nine rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Serra smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Serra's defeat dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Tesoro, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Serra nor Tesoro have any future games scheduled.
