Basketball Recap: Granite Hills Takes a Loss

Granite Hills lost against Summit Charter Collegiate Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Granite Hills Grizzlies took a blow against the Summit Charter Collegiate Academy Bears, falling 54-23. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Evonie Mendoza was her usual excellent self, putting up 23 points for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy. The contest was Mendoza's third in a row with at least ten points. Liana Skidgel was another key player, scoring nine points.

Granite Hills' loss dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Granite Hills will head out to square off against Lindsay at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Summit Charter Collegiate Academy, they will venture away from home to take on Orosi at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
