Recap: Greensburg Salem Golden Lions vs. Freeport Yellowjackets
In what's become a running theme this season, the Greensburg Salem Golden Lions gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Freeport, posting a 59-25 win at home. The win was some much needed relief for Greensburg Salem as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Kaitlyn Mankins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Greensburg Salem's points. Ashlan Price was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight assists and five steals.
Greensburg Salem's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 15-7. As for Freeport, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
Greensburg Salem does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Freeport also has no future games currently scheduled.
