Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Brookwood's 15th in Last 18 Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Brookwood rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Denmark 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Broncos: when they faced off against Denmark on Wednesday, they had to take a 5-1 loss.

Joe Soto tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

At the plate, Boomer Rogozinski was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Brookwood hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Denmark struck out nine times.

Brookwood has been performing well recently as they've won 15 of their last 18 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Denmark, they moved to 19-13 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
